Sports Swag has been designing shirts since the San Francisco Giants’ magical run to the 2010 World Series championship. We set up a store on Zazzle.com and then the hard work started: getting people to buy our shirts. We found a bit of success from Zazzle, but nothing to put us on the map. We took a hiatus after the World Series to evaluate our options going forward. But in 2011, the next step for us became clear. Kabir Chimni, founder, won a logo contest being held by San Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns. His winning logo led to an official Brent Burns snapback hat. Just like that, Sports Swag was born.
Since then we have released many new designs and have worked with many pro athletes including some of baseball's best players like Jose Altuve, Bryce Harper, Madison Bumgarner and Nelson Cruz. We did custom shirts for Red Sox pitcher Matt Barnes and catcher Blake Swihart while they were in the minor leagues. Our recent Matt Duffy and Skeeter shirts took inspiration from our early Sergio Romo design. Matt got everyone on the team, players, training staff, and coaches, his shirt.
